Japan Organics Recycling Association certified product
Bioflex Multi Plus is a biodegradable film that eventually breaks down into water and carbon dioxide in the soil. Due to its strength and flexibility, it can easily be installed by machine, and the color pattern has the effect of raising the soil temperature, as well as controlling the rise in soil temperature when needed, and preventing weeds. It also improves the soil moisture retention to promote good crop growth.
In addition to outdoor cultivation, it's also being increasingly used as mulch in greenhouses.
Biodegradable mulch
This product has an improved moisture retention effect that prevents the soil from drying out.
This is an environmentally friendly bioplastic product.
By plowing it firmly after use, the product will break down into water and carbon dioxide by microorganisms in the soil.
There is no need to strip the film off after use, which improves work efficiency and reduces the burden on the global environment.
The product has strength and flexibility sufficient for machine installation.
To accommodate a variety of crops, four colors are available: black, transparent, silver gray, and black and white. (All made-to-order)
The product promotes healthy crop growth with its excellent properties of raising soil temperatures and preventing weeds.
This is a "biodegradable plastic" certified product by the Japan Bioplastics Association. (Registration No. 1209)
This is a "Biomass Mark" product certified by the Japan Organics Recycling Association.
(Certified No. 230082: 20% biomass content)
Moisture permeability test based on JIS Z 0208 condition B (40°C × 90% RH) (proprietary method)
To evaluate the moisture retention effect, we conducted a moisture permeability test (proprietary method) based on JIS Z 0208 condition B (40°C × 90% RH), and confirmed that the moisture retention effect of Bioflex Multi Plus improved compared to the conventional product. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the moisture permeability of Bioflex Multi Plus was reduced by about 20% compared to the conventional product, and the water vapor barrier was improved. As a result, we determined that this can reduce soil moisture evaporation.
Decomposition mechanism of biodegradable mulch
The results vary according to the type of soil and environment.
Plowing the film into the soil after use allows microorganisms to decompose the film.
According to the decomposition tests, the film gradually starts to break down after 4 weeks of being buried in soil, and film fragments are broken down in 12 weeks.
The desired performance for a mulch film differs among crops. We offer a product lineup of colors that can be used for various purposes.
